A Christmas Carol

A CHRISTMAS CAROL by CHARLES DICKENS:

SUMMARY:

Mr. Scrooge´s only friend, Marley died seven years ago.

Now, seven years later, Mr. Scrooge was working at his counting house, when somebody knocked his door. His assistant went to open it. It was Mr. Scrooge´s nephew. He invited him to celebrate the Christmas Eve in his house. Mr. Scrooge said: "No, I want to stay alone".

When he´s nephew went out, two men proposed Mr. Scrooge, to colaborate for the poor, the people who was ill and the homeless. But he said: "No. I want to be left alone"!

Then, he went home. When he arrived he went to his bedroom. His friend's ghost called Marley, appeared and told him that three spirits of the Christmas Eve: past, present and future were going to appear.

He didn´t belive what the ghost told him, but the spirits appeared.

Then Mr. Scrooge fell asleep.

He found the spirit of the Christmas past. When he saw his past he cried a lot, he showed emotions that he never felt in the past.

Later, he met the spirit of the Christmas present, and warned Scrooge to beware of ignorance. By last, he met the spirit of the Christmas future. When he saw the bad scenes of his future, he shouted that he would like to change it. 

The next day, Mr. Scrooge woked up in his bedroom, and he was so friendly with the people that he could found outside.

He also gave to he´s assistant a rise; and after Christmas he continued his kindy ways.
